Founded in 1639, Guilford has an unriveled Green in the center
of town
Bicyclers wind their way through town west toward beautiful
marsh areas to Stoney Creek and the Thimble Islands. Other
hearty cyclers travel northward toward Haddam on the Connecticut
River for a rigorous day trip. There is plenty of salt water
fishing, or if you are looking for the freshwater, Chatfield
Hollow park in Killingworth, is 20 minutes northwest of Guilford
on route 80.
